Third Saturday Birding

Every third Saturday of the month Coast to Cascades Bird Alliance hosts a birding outing.

August's event will be at Clearwater Park in Springfield and led by Donna Albino.

Meet the group at 8 a.m. in the first parking lot near the Clearwater Park Disc Golf Course.

The walk will be 2 -2 ½ hours long. You'll be walking mostly on paved (bike) paths, and a short path of fine gravel. Restrooms are available in the parking area. Consider bringing weather appropriate items such as water, hat, sunscreen, bug spray, etc.

You'll walk to a hidden little pond off to the left side of the road. After checking the River boat/ramp, the group will head out along the bike path to the Creek Bridge and a bit beyond. There will be lots of confusing songs of ” baby babble” along with challenges of plumages and eye colors of immature/juveniles.

8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Third Saturday Bird Outings are open to all participants.
