The northern Willamette Valley teems with rolling hillsides that showcase the region’s agricultural roots. Cycle through dozens of popular vineyards, drive past acres and acres of hazelnut farms, and watch our legendary hops crawl up the bine. Afterward, hop into a kayak for water-level views, head to our renowned restaurants for a taste of the region, and stay the night in a charming downtown hotel—because there’s always more to sip, see, taste, and explore.

The North Willamette Valley is home to some of the oldest and most spirited wine producers and innovative chefs in the region. The North Valley specializes in everything from tea leaves to turnips, chocolate to cherries and ciders to craft brews (and of course, wine). Dine at the tables of award-winning and James Beard nominated chefs and savor some of the freshest and finest foods in the Valley.

Rich farmland defines much of the North Valley, where road cyclists may ride past hazelnut farms, gently sloping vineyards, and—in fall—our renowned hop fields under sun-kissed skies. Elsewhere, hikers can explore quiet wetlands and bubbling riverbanks in the midst of sprawling forests. The northern reaches of the Willamette River, meanwhile, enchant paddlers, wildlife-watchers, and anglers in equal measure.
