Oktoberfest Celebration at Bryn Mawr Vineyards
Bryn Mawr Vineyards may carry a Welsh name, but behind it lies the Lauer family’s deep German roots. On Sunday, September 21st, the family is bringing that heritage to life with their very first Oktoberfest Celebration – an afternoon of wine, food, and festive tunes.
Oktoberfest wouldn’t be complete without a proper Bavarian flair. The Lauer family will be fully decked out in lederhosen and dirndls, ready to raise a glass with guests. For Kathy Lauer, the celebration is especially meaningful. Raised in the small town of Frankenmuth, Michigan, widely known as “Michigan’s Little Bavaria”, a town famous for its Bavarian-style architecture, lively festivals, and the world’s largest Christmas store, Bryn Mawr’s Oktoberfest is a homage to her upbringing and their family heritage.
Guests can expect a festive spread straight from the vineyard kitchen, prepared by Culinary Director Jonathan Jones, paired with a specialty wine flight crafted just for the occasion. For those who’d like to linger, wines will also be available by the glass and bottle.

About Bryn Mawr Vineyards
Founded in 2010 by Jon and Kathy Lauer, Bryn Mawr Vineyards is a family-owned and family-run estate in the Eola-Amity Hills of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. The winery crafts aromatic, structured wines of complexity and character, shaped by a precipitous volcanic landscape and guided by organic and regenerative farming practices. Since its founding, Winemaker and Vineyard Director Rachel Rose has led both vineyard and cellar with a playful yet precise, low-intervention approach, producing expressive, site-driven wines that reflect both place and personality. Bryn Mawr Vineyards is known for its alternative varietals such as Riesling, Pinot Blanc, and Dolcetto.
