Annual Barrel Tasting Event at Chemeketa Cellars

Student-led barrel tastings, interactive vineyard fun, behind-the-scenes winery tours, delicious wine samples and food pairings, and live music in our indoor event venue, tasting room patio, lawn, and winery.

Chemeketa Cellars is a small production vineyard and winery maintained and operated by the students of the Wine Studies program at Chemeketa Community College. The program was founded in 1999 at Chemeketa Eola in the rolling Eola-Amity hills of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. The 8-acre vineyard and a fully functioning teaching winery on premise allow students to receive hands-on training in every step of the process. Students of the Wine Studies program operate the Chemeketa Cellars tasting room and share their knowledge about each of the wines currently being poured. It is a wonderful experience to learn the winemakers’ stories behind their studies and what influences their decision to make wine in Oregon.
