Explore artistic wine tasting rooms in Yamhill Valley

Spend Indoor Time Enjoying Yamhill Valley Art and Wine

Oregon is an “outdoorsy” state, but it just happens to have some cozy, inviting opportunities for indoor fun as well. For example, the Yamhill Valley features a unique collection of wineries that also feature art collections within their walls, providing visitors with a memorable two-for-one experience.

  • Yamhill | In the quaint city of Yamhill, travelers can find Fairsing Vineyard and its new tasting room, which is a piece of art itself. Fashioned after structures from ancient Irish countrysides, the curved-beam ceiling of the Celtic-inspired space mirrors an accompanying labyrinth for a peaceful wine-sipping locale. (Contact Fairsing to schedule a winter wine tasting appointment). Also in Yamhill, Saffron Fields Vineyard owners Angela Summers and Sanjeev Lahoti have curated artworks featuring bright colors and varied textures for tasting room visitors to enjoy.
  • Newberg | Nearby Newberg is home to its own art-and-wine experiences. Trisaetum combines a vineyard and winery with a 1,500-square-foot art gallery showcasing photographs and paintings by owner James Frey. Visitors can sample a flight of Trisaetum vintages while touring the artistic space. Meanwhile, the Allison Inn and Spa comprises luxury accommodations, fine dining and hundreds of pieces of art created by local artists. In fact, part of the collection is curated through ART Elements, a gallery with exhibits in Newberg and Dayton.
  • Throughout the valley | Additional interactions with art can be had throughout Yamhill Valley. In Sheridan, check out Lawrence Gallery, which highlights local artists, a large sculpture collection and even modern masters, all in one location. Right next door is Fire's Eye Gallery, a showcase for pottery and glass art that's creatively functional or colorfully decorative. In McMinnville, Currents Gallery is a source of eclectic offerings from area jewelry, fiber and metal artists as well as painters and carvers.
