About Our Partners

The Willamette Valley Ornament Hunt wouldn’t happen without a team of great collaborators. To that end, we’re excited to highlight the work of our outstanding partners:

The 2-million-acre Willamette National Forest is home to eight wilderness areas — including the Three Sisters and Mt. Jefferson wilderness areas — and more than 70 developed campgrounds. In all, more than 1,700 miles of hiking, mountain biking, and equestrian trails crisscross a variety of landscapes — including Cascade foothills, old-growth forests, and rushing rivers.

The Umpqua National Forest stretches nearly 1 million acres across the southern Willamette Valley and into southern Oregon. Its attractions include Cascade peaks, whitewater rapids, picturesque waterfalls, and verdant forests — with more than 530 miles of trails, 40 campgrounds, and three scenic wilderness areas.

Cascade Volunteers is the official nonprofit partner of the Willamette National Forest. The nonprofit formed in 2005 and has since enlisted more than 3,600 volunteers to perform more than 193,000 hours of service—including trail maintenance, planting trees, stewardship, and more.

Each winter, the organization’s volunteers help us place ornaments along designated trails in the Willamette and Umpqua national forests for the annual Willamette Valley Ornament Hunt.
