Enjoying Wine Country Thanksgiving in the Willamette Valley
Every autumn, one of the Willamette Valley's longest-running and most beloved traditions takes place across the region: Wine Country Thanksgiving is a magical time when wine enthusiasts bounce between wineries and tasting rooms, enjoy rare tastings, save big on their favorite bottles, listen to live music, and more.
If you're interested in joining the festivities this year, here's everything you need to know about Wine Country Thanksgiving.

In 2025, Wine Country Thanksgiving will take place across two weekends: November 21-23 and November 28-30.
The fun varies from winery to winery, but events include guided tastings with winemakers, live music, special releases, samples of rare wines, food-and-wine pairings, and holiday stock-up events. Other fun celebrations include Newveau Fest, which toasts the annual wine harvest, and the Olio Nuovo Festival from Durant at Red Ridge Farms.

While much of the Wine Country Thanksgiving festivities take place around McMinnville and Newberg, you'll find plenty of fun at wineries throughout the Willamette Valley.
Between Eugene and Corvallis, Benton-Lane Winery will offer a curated wine-and-cheese pairing alongside homemade focaccia bread; reservations are available and are strongly recommended. North of Corvallis, meanwhile, Airlie Winery is hosting two weekends of fun—with a portion of each flight benefiting local food banks. For other wineries in the Corvallis and South Salem area, as well as discounts, free flights, and other perks, check out the Heart of Willamette Wineries passport.
Wine Country Thanksgiving is big on its own—but it's just one part of a larger, season-long event known as The Giving Season.
Broadly speaking, The Giving Season covers special deals and discounts at tasting rooms across the valley. Specific offers vary among participating wineries but generally include savings on full cases, discounted visits, sip-and-stay deals, and free or discounted shipping on multiple bottles.
It all helps raise money for the Oregon Food Bank Network across the Willamette Valley.
